give it a month or so, and check that the lower rounded edge of the slider bracket isn't hitting the fairing on the inside....might just be my bike

Great review. Always good to have an honest technical hands on appraisal of add on equipment. After bucking up $200 plus dollars for a parked tip over fairing relacement, will definately look into a pair these babies.

I ordered and sent right back. I started on the right side and the bottom engine cradle bolt hole did not line up at all. The top was perfect. Also, the 6mm bolts were way too long and hit the engine before being tightened.

That an interesting statement considering that at least a dozen members have installed them with no issue.

I can see how the bolts could be CLOSE, but the only way the bolts would HIT is if they sent the totally wrong length bolts, or your frame/cradle area is bent inward, or such.

mine fit, and are within 1/4" of the engine fins.

oh well, sorry ya had issues.

I got a pair.I put the left side one on so far. Fit perfect! Took alot of time and patient though with removing the fairing, clips, blots, rubber washers. Carefull not to break the clips, I broke 2 on the inside of the fiaring! It was nice to see there was no oil leaks around the engine. P.S. The sliders make great hiway pegs too! LOL

this is going to be my next upgrade for my bike since i have those other sliders and havent been happy with them since day one plus t-rex sliders are cheaper. those other sliders i have on my bike right now bent with the bracket from one tip over.

I just ordered a set of these sliders from T-Rex Racing. Hopefully I'll get the chance to install them this weekend and put up some pics.
