Yeah, gotta have the gear on. People I work with always ask me "Why are you wearing all that? It's not cold outside" I just tell them the concrete doesn't care how cold or hot it is. I don't expect to fall, but I plan for the fall just in case. Now if I could just find some inexpensive riding boots that feel good.....

Typical nonconformist hippie stuff...dressing like it's winter all summer long. It's funny that people make out like it is so unbelieveable that we wear gear to protect us just in case. Better to have and not need than to need and not have (like a bullet resistant vest).

Zuma, I say we can just keep being "weird". Glad you surgery went well just don't rush the recovery. You'll be back to playing in no time.

Down here in New Zealand probably 90-95% of riders have all the gears on...we have a real good attitude towards the safety side of things...better safe than sorry...
