  • Okay so her's another Exhaust Q

So I have herd lots of people talk about the different types of exhaust eg Hindle, Scorpion, D&D, 2 bros, Yoshi etc, my question is I do alot of highway riding and would like a really nice sound but don't want to be totally deaf after 8 hours of highway riding! if any one can agree what would be the best choices, I want just a slip on for right now but will go for the full exhaust once I have enough $$ to also get the jet kit.

I also just want to say thanks to everyone on here I was losing hope that there was anything I could do to improve on my bike untill I found this site a couple of days ago! My bike is a blue 04 and i have owned it since new!

I have the Yoshi slipon and It isn't to loud at highway speeds unless you open it up. It's pretty quiet under 5k. I went from Montreal to the rally and back last year with no complaints. I know the D&D is pretty loud.

Heres a link to listen to different exhausts http://www.sportrider.com/tech/146_0...ips/index.html

If you look at jet kit's, like Ivan's which IMO is the best, you aren't supposed to use a full system. The stock header with ANY slip on.

No matter what can you get, make sure you wear plugs for your ears. You can get some nice and cheap from Cyberpoet.

I owned a D&D and now a Scorpion and I like them both. Just remember, the Scorpion is the only can that is truly maintenance free and carries the best warranty out there. The tone of it is nice too.

thanks SOOO much for posting that link! I have been trying to decide for weeks which slip-on i'm going to buy. and to me... almost ALL of those exhaust notes are the same. at least, not different enough to really buy a specific one based on sound.

To be honest I doubt you will hear any of the at highway speeds. I can't even hear my d&d. Now the people in back of me...that's a different story. The wind is what will make your ears hurt.

I'm considering a Yoshi slipon for my 06gsxf750. I'm told the Yoshi zyclone is specific for a Katana. It is reportedly one of the quietest and does not change air flow drastically. I'm told re-jetting may not be necessary. I like the slip on for looks (Titanium) and a "little" noice, not necessarily for any increase in HP or performance. Any opinions on the needs to re-jet? Thanks...
