Oh , damn , that's gonna be a LONG weekend .
Well , a camelback or something similar to sip water without stopping might be good . But then you'll have to stop to get rid of said water quicker ..... If you can wait between gas stops . Maybe some music for the long highway haul to help pass the time . Stretch out a little at gas stops ..... That's gonna be a LONG weekend .

yes it will be a long trip
if all goes well i will get confirmation from Abzs sometime monday morning on our deal and leave my house in west tennessee around 6-7 p.m. and either ride 600 miles to blacksburg virginia where a member over at svrider.com has offerd to let me catch a quick 2-3 hour nap before continuing on the last 4-5 hours to fredericksburg va. tuesday morning which would put me there around noon. I would stay with Abzs tuesday night and then make an 800 mile run home in 14 hours on wednesday or travel to the lexington ky area (600 miles) and stay a night with a rider buddy of mine there and make the final 350 miles home early thursday morning......so now as it stands im looking at either 1600-1700 miles in 48 hours or roughly 2k miles in 64 hours.....the bike is packed and ready to roll. im just waiting on a phone call....wish me luck...laterI RIDE FOR A LIVING...WHAT ABOUT YOU??

That's a hard push. I've done far further than that, but taken more time as well.
If you figure you need to average 55 mph to do it, you need to be travelling about 75-80 the whole way and maximize your efficiency at fuel/rest stops. Pushing the bike faster almost assuredly won't get you any time benefit -- you'll just burn through fuel faster and spend that same time tanking up larger amounts and more often.
I just noted that this event should have already happened -- so, how did it go?
