  • carbon fiber and sun?

so when i put my fyber lyte pieces on will i have to protect them from the sun in any ways? i know when i was looking into a carbon hood for my car they said the sun really destroys carbon fiber. would a simple wax on the carbon pieces help them? or are they fine with no thing on them?

Is it clear coated from the factory?? If not, clear coat it. That's the best way to protect it.

It depends on the type of resin that they used. Some are UV resistant. A UV resistant clear coat would not be a bad idea.

I don't think they clear coated. My other carbon fiber parts are clear coated and look very different.

If your not sure, Try using mothers or maguires wax with carnuba. I have all ways trusted that on my old truck. it was black and attracted lots of sun.
