I am one month into my love affair with my new-to-me 1991 Katana 1100. This is my 7th or 8th bike in 15 years, but my first 100+hp bike and I am addicted. Good lord, is this thing fast. I use it mostly for commuting and work, but I am looking forward to my first weekend camping trip soon. I need to carry quite a bit of camera gear for work and my BMW r65 was too slow to go, too slow to stop and too uncomfortable to sit on. Now I can go & stop comfortably. I've got Givi 45 bags that hold a ton of stuff. How many other Kat 1100 folks are there here? And how many Kat 1100's were imported? I know that they were only imported to the US from '88 to '93 and that the 1100 is only a small fraction of the Katana community, but I like the look of this place. Think I'll stick around.
