  • Pre 98 undertail fender and tire hugger on the drawing board

some of you may have seen my posts on getting advice about a 94 kat 600 that i have. well, while trying to get her road ready i have been looking for appereance items to dress her out. unfortunatly i have not been able to locate an undertail fender or rear hugger for any pre 98 kats. Well one of my regular customers came into the restaurant tonight on his bike, so we were talking about his Yamaha Warrior (gorgeous bike by the way) and I told him about the Kat i acquired and what i was wanting to do with it. I also talked about not being able to find the items mentioned above for any pre-98's. His reply was that he knew a guy that has fabricated plastic, fiberglass and sheetmetal for a nascar race team that may be able to help with the fabricating the items from scratch. Now, before you pre-98 owners get excited......this is a MAYBE at this point. We set up an appointment to get with the guy next week to look at my 94 and take some measurements. I'll keep you posted here on the results. Another thought was that if this guy can make the items, would any of you pre-98 owners be interested in them? Like I said, this is a MAYBE right now, and i have no idea what the costs could be on them. but you never know what can happen. Those nascar fabricators are pretty resourceful.

count me in for everything! its a done deal.

BTW, it would also be a good idea if he can make the seat cowls for the pre-98 600 ONLY (take note of the bold letters.......600 ONLY.........Jim (Braada) makes the 750's not 600's)

I'd like a hugger, that would make it eaiser than modifying the 98+ hugger.
