Is it just me or are Dunlops not as sticky as Metz?

  • Is it just me or are Dunlops not as sticky as Metz?

Recently replaced my back tire (due to a big piece of metal) with a RoadSmart II. And the bike now leaves me feeling less confident in that I think the bike might slip out from under me. Am I imagining things?

The front is still a Metz. Should I replace it as well?

IMAO Both suck ass, there are WAY better tires out there for not much more money. I would walk before I use either one. If I had to choose I'd have to run the Metzler tire over any dunlop.

      Any recommendations for brand types?
Don't do a lot of hard riding, as this is a commuting bike.

For longevity get a set of Michelin PR 3 or 4 superb mileage and grip.

Heck yes. I've run PR 2,3 and 4. The 2 lasts the longest but I don't think you'll be able to find those anymore. The PRs last me somewhere around 20k miles and have excellent grip.
