Step 1 - Clean the fuel tank, petcock, carbs very well.
Step 2 - Bench sync and adjust the carb settings, instal on bike
Step 3 - Use OEM filter and airbox, run the bike and check for any air/vacuum leaks.
Step 4 - Sync the carbs and fine tune the a/f screw settings
Step 5 - When the bike is fully warmed up, now set the idle for aprox 1100 rpms +/- 100.

Go to the wiki and look up carbs 101. DOWNLOAD the pdf (has pictures). Really not that hard to do and as long as all the parts in your carbs are in good shape they'll be good to go. Then worry about the sync. Only change to the carbs 101 is it list the a/f screws to be set at 1.5. Change that to 2.5 (as a starting point)When all else fails get a bigger hammer

Not on anything that is hard or stuck on/varnished. It works great on stuff that is liquid or partially disolved by a good soak though.
Gotta soak the carbs after a full dissasembly.
