    Does anyone here have any experience with these bikes?
    How are they?
    Are they decent?

    Decent step up from your old Katana.

      I was looking at a couple I found cheap on Craigslist.
      I'm not sure I like the water cooled engines. I've not had any experience with them but I would think it just something else that could go wrong which equals more to work on

      I think the only benifit over the Katana is the aluminum frame which means you can ride a wheelie. Seems like a waste of time and money just to have a something thats equal to a Katana but rides a wheelie.

      Just get a big azz back sprocket for the Kat and let the front wheel fly

      If your gonna spend money on something else I would suggest fuel injection. A GSXR to be specific
      My Katana-1100 17" wheel swap

        The F4 is not similar to a Katana. It's much lighter, makes a lot more power, and handles 100% better out of the box. It's a real sportbike. Leaps and bounds ahead of a Katana.

          CBR600: 25 H.P increase, 438lbs for how much ??? Any you'll probably need some stickey tires for that bike too= $$$ ???
          Edit: Gas mileage for the CBR 40mpg
          My Kat gets 47 every day of my life

          Katana: Sprockets and sticky tires= $400

          Difference= $$$$$ ?????

          Early model GSXR == $$$$ ???

          If you've got your heart set on it go ahead. I'm just saying when you get beside a GSXR you'll wish you had alittle more juice.
          You're still going to have those carbs to deal with too.

              Also with FI you could hook up a Dynojet Power Commander and program on the fly with a laptop. I had one on a Ninja 650R. It makes a differance and you can tune throughout the powerband. No ripping the tank & carbs out over and over to fine tune.

                Opt for an F4I instead.

                  Lol you are waaaay out of line.

                  Sprockets and sticky tires will in no way make a Katana competitive with a CBR with equal skilled riders.

                  If you're actually concerned about gas mileage, buy a scooter. Discussing gas mileage in and of itself completely nullifies any opinion on a sportbike. Who gives a ****?

                  Not saying the F4 is a life changing bike, but it's a HUGE step up from the 1980s technology found in the Katana.

                  And water cooling is no more of a headache to deal with than oil cooling. Both my bikes are watercooled and are simple as pizz to work on.
