  • Modded Exhaust.

I know theirs been a lot of questions about this, but i was wondering what the dangers of running a straight exhaust would be? Maybe not just the headers but put the pipe a bit before the stock can? I just don't want to do it and end up burning up valves.

    Thanks, Cody.

I really don't know enough to make firm conclusions but I think it would run "lean to fairly lean" but probably not cause internal damage. Also maybe some loss of torque. That aside, you may turn yourself into a popo magnet so make sure registration insurance ect is in good standing condition.

Well i was thinking about getting this exhaust.. It's for a Car but it has the same dimensions as the pipe coming out of the stock pipe which is 3" i believe. I seen some people from another forum using these on there bikes because there cheap, sound good, and look nice. I would just need to make a bracket and well that thing on there xD.

I tried this with my ninja 250.... it was still so damn loud!!! mine didnt have a silencer though, it was just a straight through glass pack type muffler. It sounded like a race bike, very nice

Wait they make a race exhaust for a Yaris , anyway that seems like a good deal and would look pretty cool on your bike

i havent had much experience with sport bike mechanics but have alot of experience with general mechanics such as cars. but, the way i understand it and how its been explained to me is that when you change the exhaust performance on a sport bike you may have to change the jetting in the carbs to compesate for fuel mixture and exhaust gases. ive been told the result in not matching the fuel mixture to the flow of exhaust can cause valve damage. back pressure is a factor. so, id do a little research before opening up the exhaust with a glass pack. it may save you from damage, time and money if anything were to go wrong.
dont get me wrong, id love to find out how one of those would sound. but id hate to see it cause any one any damage to their bikes.

Just an FYI: I have an RS3, and I looove it. Totally worth the price. Its quiet when you need it to be (start up, idle and below 5k, great for apt complexes and neighborhoods), but takes on a completely different(and amazing) tone when you start to hit the big #'s on the tach .
