  • Safety Wire Pliers

I am looking for a set of safety wire pliers. Harbor Freight has some for $8.99, which is a lot cheaper than other places that I have seen in the past. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ct...temnumber=45340 Does anyone out there have a set of these? Are they worth the money or am I better off saving the money and buying them someplace else?

Yes they are worth the money. I love them. I used them alot on airplanes when I was in. I think I will go out to my old unit and swipe me pair. Thanks for reminding me...

Yes, very much worth the money!

If you plan to safety wiring something.

Actually even if you are not, they are fun to play with.

I know that when you are doing safety wiring having the twisting pliers is a must. I just have seen prices range from $9 to $75 for a pair. Seeing really cheap ones makes me nervous about buying them.

I've got a set from HarborFreight, and they're reasonable. They're not built to the same quality standards as the ones the comm guys used in the Army as part of their standard toolkit, but they are better than the price would imply.

          Cheers
