  • newbie and looking for info

Hello all, Been outta riding sport bikes for about 10 years now recently I've been doing mainly dual sport rides but a couple of bikes have recently caught my eye. 1988 Katana 1100 with 32k for 1100 bucks or a 1993 Katana 750 for 1300. I'm a tall rider and just looking for what will fit my build. Thanks in advance and looking forward to being a Kat rider soon.

Both bikes should fit you about the same.
'88 1100's apparently handle poorly, something about the fork rake and small wheel size. Not sure if it is better or worse than the 750 though. (The handling problems were addressed/fixed in the '89 and after versions) Others should be along shortly with more info on the '88. If not, put a post in the 1100 section.
Either way, expect do have a number if things to take care of maintenance wise - they're both old. The engines hold up great, but carbs, tires, chained, brakes, etc...
Whichever one you get, have a great time on it!

17 inch tires though on the 93 might make my decision a little easier.
