Well I'm new here obviously, can't remember if I posted the day I joined or not but if so here's my intro with pics.

    Bike info:
2004 gsx600f katana with close to 10,000 miles on it
I picked it up from a mechanic for 2450 with three sets of brake pads, an hjc helment, afx helment, some gloves, cleaning supplies, oil, and a SS jacket.
So I'd say I got an ok deal, the guy was going through a child custody hearing and I'd just got back from dealing with that.

My names Derrik, I'm 18 a father and I just graduated high school working full time at BMW manufacturing. I have a little boy who was born 6/24/09 named Aaron Cam but we just call him Cam. Since he was born I worked almost full time and finished school at the top of my class. Now at work I basically do the rear interior of the X5's and X6 as well as the hatch. Or did until I tore my rotator cuff at work. Found out it was actually torn two days after I picked up my Katana

I've gotten to ride the bike in the yard and in the neighborhood a few times but other than that not much yet due to my injury and no license nor motorcycle safety course yet.

Really never thought about bikes until I just about went crazy from the thought of having my son taken away from me, then I realized you only live once and as long as your careful and its not your time God won't take you away. After realizing that my buddy got a bike and then I started looking into them and saw financially theyre alot cheaper than my other hobby... a bridgeport first gen rx7 built strictly for road courses. That and the Rx7 gets maybe 14mpg on a good day...

well I'm gonna shut up now
I'm just hyper from a few energy drinks and being bored at home due to seeing a surgeon tomorrow to get an idea for the hurt shoulder fix.

    well heres the pictures.

oh and if anyone could help me out I'd like to know how to adjust the levers since my hands are smaller than the previous owner, it feels like i'm over stretching my hands just to reach the levers.

                      Thanks
yea I was a big poster and learner on Rx7club.com and that turned out to be a great site to learn with for the 7
So I'm hoping for the same with this forum =]

                      One question
how much can you adjust the brake and clutch levers before you have to get adjustables from like crg or pazzo

                              Thanks
Hey Chilli99Katana or anyone who can answer this
Wheres a good place to try on some gear at like jackets and all besides just palmetto cycle center?

I'm out of work due to a torn rotator cuff and would atleast like to decide and save up for the gear but I'd like to explore my options, Anyone know of any good places for jackets and stuff within like 100 miles of spartanburg sc? I've googled it but couldn't find much

I have nothing better to and I've already picked out a new helment, the Scorpion exo-400 to start with.
