Hello everyone! I am picking up my 89 kat 750 tonight, so I wanted to drop in, and introduce myself. This board was a great help in deciding to buy this bike, and will likely be a great help as I get familiar with it.
I have always rode vintage bikes, but recently have wanted something to do a little touring with, and the Katana seemed like a good match. My ultimate goal is to ride from my home in PA to the PNW, and back.... Maybe even ride the AlCan if I can time it right. For the rest of this season I will probably try to put some miles on the bike to make sure it has no problems that will haunt me on a long trip. I may still try to hit the left coast if the bike seems ready, but my conservative goal is to do it next year.
I am looking forward to getting to know you all, and will post up some photos of my bike once I get it home.
