Welcome and congrats on your new ride! Over time you will feel much more comfortable on the bike, you just need to get used to all the moving weight.

Welcome, and don't worry if you drop it, that's why you got a Kat, it can take it.
Happens to everyone sooner or later anyway and if you take good care of it i'm sure it'll forgive you in the end-= Har du styr på lortet, eller lort på styret? =-

Welcome Jven. This is my first year riding as well and the Kat is my first as well. You'll enjoy it. +1 on the MSF. I took it and it made me feel comfortable and hubby was surprised at the things I could do after the weekend. Have fun!!This is only the beginning.

Welcome to KR! They're a great bunch here and you'll find not only lots of support, but lots of advice and tips on everything from tweaking your bike, to tattoos! (Sorry Ed!).
I'm with lots of other people here: The best way to boost confidence is to pay for some training. If the school lends you the bikes (like some do here) you don't have to worry about dropping the bike while you learn. Later training on your bike will help you safely extend your limits on the bike and build your confidence.
