I just want to say hello to everyone on the forums. I do not currently have a bike but I am looking to purchase a Katana 600 as my first and came here to learn more about the bikes. Feel free to post any opinions you may have about the Kat as a first bike.

Biggest obstacle for new riders with the Kat is usually the weight. Nice thing is that they aren't so underpowered that you will be bored with it, but not so powerfull that it will just run away with you on it.
