  • HI. New guy here.

Glad there is a place for people like us. I have a 2000 katana 600. Right now it will not start. I have checked the batterie, cables, and fuses and nothing. When I turn on the key only the neutral and oil light come on nothing else. Any ideas?

The problem is fixed. It was the ground wire connected to the negative battery cable. It was melted and arching against the frame. I appreciate everyones advice, this place is great. Have a good night.

Won't turn over?... sounds like a safety switch to me. Check your kickstand and clutch switches.

I'll assume you are pulling in the clutch to start it....

    Oh, and welcome to KR!

Disable the clutch switch. They're evil anyway! The wires from the clutch switch connect to the main wiring harness under the tank. Disconnect the switch wires and connect the two on the harness to each other. You'll never have trouble from that thing again.

      Oh, and welcome.

make sure the kill switch on the right bar is turned on.
