  • New to the Forum but not to the Kat

Hello from South Carolina! Hey guys and thanks for having me! I got my Kat about 2 years ago and have enjoyed the ride so far. I have a 2000 Katana 600, Red. I bought it as my first ride as did the fellow before me so as you might imagine there is a fair amount of rash on her . It is my project this summer to fix her up right so I have been reading the forum and found some great info so far. Thank you to all you knowlegeable users out that that help out us newbies!

Also, if anyone knows where I could get a hold of a front left fork (or both) and a front wheel with axel, I would be much appreciated

It would't be any fun if it was easy! BUT, it does have to be this much fun!!

Thank you once again for your warm welcome. I got my Kat back from the shop yesterday... not good, it could be worse, but still not good. Left fork tube bent ($200 new), front wheel all jacked up($500 new), and of course the axle (not bad, only $27 new). Looking at almost $800 in parts for the new stuff. Trying to find some parts locally first and then I will expand my search accordingly. If you happen upon any leads in the South East (SC, GA, NC, or TN) please drop me a line. She is limping and I would like to get her healthy again...
