Hi, I'm new to riding and I bought my first bike a couple months ago. A used 2002 katana 600 blue. Had 1072 miles on it when I bought it so it's still not fully broken in yet. I haven't been doing much riding riding because of this new england weather and I'm still in the practice stages, but after reading all the posts about ride for yourself and no one else, I'll take however long I need to practice before I get on the busy streets and not worry about what anyone else says about a katana. I read every review I could find and the katana seemed like the right bike for me. I'm very pleased with my decision. Easy to ride and enough power for a new rider to play with.
I haven't done any mods yet, everything is still stock. I'd like to get a yoshi slip on, a cowl, and a tinted windscreen.
