Yeah i also came from the planet. Have found a lot of great info on this site.
The bike: Well its a stock 96 Kat 750.
I started with a 03 Honda Rebel 250 that i had picked up for $1000. Kid down the street had as his only form of trans. said he was sick of riding in the weather.So i got it and replaced a few parts polished it up road it for 6 mnths.
Then sold it for $2200.This is when i found the Kat on ebay, $1800 basket case. Drove to San Antonio to pick up and was not as bas as i thought.
Got new bike home to evaluate.Needed fork seals,battery,paint,tires.
so after a few weeks of work i had a really nice paid for commuter bike.
