I recently purchased an 06 katana 600. The seller had put a new switch in( I don’t know the details of why the switch was damaged) and had it wired with a resistor. I separated the wires so I could mount the switch to the bars etc but didn’t realize it was wired a specific way. Can anyone help and yes I have all paperwork

What switch? If it’s the ignition, just buy the right one and call it good. There is a security feature in the ignition switch. There is also a free manual to download in mechanics 101."I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you when I called you stupid. I thought you already knew..."
