Hi! I just joined up. That's a big deal for an old stoic Yankee. My son is buying a 2003 GSX-R and passing to me his "old" 1995 Katana 750. Turns out this is the newest bike I've ever owned. Collected a lot of Japanese bikes over these many years. My favorite to date: CBR 600 that was stolen - but not before I got to take it across the country. Sure was fun in the Rockies.
I've owned about 20 bikes, but only 1 Suzuki before this. A beautiful 1974 GT750 orange/bronze that I sold for $400 because the wife was getting high on fumes on the back. (I mightev liked it).
I'm getting used to have a "purple seat" bike but those *^%#* decals have gotta be gone! Thanks for the info on removal. BTW, dental floss "saw" is the bomb...I mean... way to go.
Trying to get bike back to resemble stock. Junior burned up the rear tire and added matchbox signals and mirrors.. Thanks much already to special$k$! I'll be lurking. Thank to all for such a great site!
