  • What do you think?

My first post ever in Katriders, how exciting!

Anyway, I just bought an '95 Katana 600 about a week ago and have ridden it a few times, still don't have plates but will get them by next week. I love the bike and riding is something I have wanted to get into for a while. My bike is a teal color w/ orange accents. I kinda like the color b/c it's different but my gf doesn't like the orange. What do you guys think? Is she crazy or do you all agree with her? Let me know.

A link to the exact same year and color bike is here:

    Thanks everyone!

    IMHO...
The biggest failing of the Kat was the awful graphics.. They are all Wang Chung and Miami Vice..
First thing I did was start getting rid of the graphics.
Lukily I have the more understated red. I have to say that as I went to look at the bike I kept chanting
"don't let it be teal, don't let it be teal"

    But hey, thats just me..

      WELCOME!!!

You're pretty original with Teal...so I say, all power too you. Hope your riding is safe and your postings with us are never overlooked.

So does anyone have any suggestions for improvement b/c I don't want to get laughed at. Where can I get different graphics that will fit my bike. I don't really want to repaint it yet since I am new and know that I will drop it once or twice.

I wouldn't repaint it just yet...but I would maybe remove the decals (heat gun...or hairdryer...goo be gone) and make it all clean teal..then go from there.

Dude!! I would never make fun of you!
                Really!!!

JP is right (again!!) live with it.
Look around, think about what you want it to look like. In the mean time if you drop it, you havent blown new paint..
I pulled the front fairings off to fix/strip them.
now I'm finding I like it naked better..

                      Welcome to KR!

I had a similar colored Kat. It was the 96, the base color was the same teal, but the graphics were different. I'll try to post a pic of it tonight when I am home.
I also had a photoshopped pic without the decals. If, I can find that I will post that up for you too. Just so you get a feel for how it would look.
Oh and I loved the color
