Just found this site when I was bored out of my mind at work. Some really good info here.looking for some more people to ride with so if any of you are in idaho, any where near pocatello let me know. Tired of ridin with the same group of idiots who got R1s for their first bikes and can't even keep up with me in the curves.

Welcome to the Kat home!!! It is pretty bad when an R1 can't keep up with a Kat. lol

        kepin up

Yeah I thought so to. We all got our fist bikes last spring. I got an 04 kat 600, one friend got an 02 R1, another got an 03 R1, and the other guy got an 04 gixxer 600. they can all smoke my on the straits but on the canyon run we do almost every weekend ( so they cant use the "i dont know the road" excuse) they are always a few turns behind me. The only time I am not in front is when I let them pass so I can have a little fun and play around with them.

newbies on sport bikes, wow!! I see it all the time unfortunately, 16 yo's mommy and daddies get them a super sport bike only to see it trashed in a month or two.

          Anywho, welcome dude.

            one already did.

Kid on the 02 R1 t-boned a 56 chevy that pulled out in front of him at about 80 mph. Flew over 100 feet, good thing he had a helmet and good ridin jacket on, other than bein scrapped up and sore he just had a broken wrist from the landing. oh yeah, his fault cause he was goin more yhan 20 mph over and he didn't have insurance.
