  • Hey, guys new rider, first time bike here.

So a friend was selling his Katana, so i thought id get it as it was the most comfortable of all bikes that i sat on at a store.

Anyhow here are pictures of it, wont start riding till much later during the year, April (probably) when i take the MSF course.

Nice bike. Are you going to replace the fairing? (there not cheap).

Other then that fairing, the bike looks to be in very nice condition.

It doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you ride.

        Welcome to KatRiders owace.
        Sharp looking Kat.
I think most of the weight comes from the full steel frame opposed to the aluminum used in the ss bike.

aha. now is there a benefit from that? stiffer frame?

me im a car guy, so stiffer frame better handling if tires can take it. lol

me = complete noob to bike. i asked for some R Compound tires when i went to a suzukie dealer.

One really good benefit of this is the frame will hold up better and is stronger if you do drop or wreck your Kat.

Nice Bike. Replace the factory pipe, add a K & N, and jet that thing. You will be amazed at the difference. Have fun with it.

                              Welcome to KatRiders owace.
Kat looks good even with the slight road rash. 8) Just take it at your own pace after MSF, and that will be your only blemishes. Good luck in your course.
