Thanks for the warm welcome. And about avoiding the ER's...
Funny Story. My bike is my only transportation. One night it was cold and icy/rainy, so I decided to walk to my gf's (10 minute walk) instead of riding because it was too dangerous. While walking past the hospital (it's on the way) , I slipped and fell, busting open my knee on some broken up asphault. 6 stiches in two different locations. I almost shattered my kneecap, and could see some bone. Not bad, huh? I wish I had ridden.
