  • Hi there,looking for input

Very nice board and seems people are friendly
I'm looking for a bike, taking into the consideration a Katana (would prefer 750 over 600 but not sure if extra 150 cc it matters in this application).
I don't want a crotch rocket (R6,CBR etc...),while they are amazing machines you can't really take them for a long ride with 2 people
I was looking at Honda 599,Yamaha FZ6 and I have to say the cheapest of them Katana.
Money is the issue and I don't want to exceed $4000 by much and I need to make sure the insurance fits my budget.
I was looking for some performance data (including 1/4 times and accelaration, braking,hp etc...) on Katana but didn't came out with anything valuable, anything would be appreaciated.
Thank you very much and there is a chance I will become one of you

Welcome to KR Rob. Sorry that I don't have answers to your questions. Some of the other KRs will be along to answer them shortly. Even if you don't get the Kat, you can still be one of us.

Thank you,I will check tommorow,do you guys go into the track to run a 1/4 mile ?
I understand this bike is not trully designed with that in mind but I'm very interested.
I'm more of a car guy but it's the wonderfull memories of motorcycle rides from the past that tell me "BUY A MOTORCYCLE WHILE YOU CAN!"

750 will definately give you a bit more ooomph when it comes to 2 up riding, and it has adjustable dampening in the back on the 98+ models.

          it will do the 11's

for two-up, you will appreciate the full fairing compared to the other bikes....the 599 Hornet is WAY overpriced.

Your criteria fits the Kat 750 to a tee

                    Welcome to KatRiders 6th-speed.
I agree with the others that the 750 Kat sounds like the bike you would want for two-up riding.
