Those seem like nice bags for the money. The most versatile tail bag I've had was a cheap EXL I bought on ebay. It served me well for 4 or 5 years and turned from black to gray over time due to exposure. It was inexpensive but functional and I would still be using it if the bungee straps were still stretchy. I may check these out for extras. Thanks for posting them.

Are you sure they're "dust covers". My soft bags, because of the zippers, came with waterproof covers that you slip over them while you slip on your rain-gear. But, they didn't come from WMart.

My soft bags scratch my paint too... I usually put duct tape over the paint when going on a road trip. Looks like hell but saves the paint.

Here are some photos, sorry for the crappy night shots, its all the time I have. The black straps under the seat are supposed to go over the seat per the directions but they are solid velcro and can be adjusted to any length, so I decided to put them under the seat. then there is a strap with clips that I wrap around the passenger peg mount and handle. They are also super adjustable as these bags are universal. the bags themselves have a solid bottom and sides, the bottom can be pulled out to flatten the bags if you like. They also have built in dust covers that come out a small pocket on each bag and a handle on each bag for carrying.
