Thanks for sharing. How much was the compression in psi in each cylinder last time you measured?

          • 1998 600 with 92K on it. It's been sitting for about 4 years and thats the mileage it had when I bought it for $350 last month. After cleaning out the carbs it runs pretty good (although I need new carb kits to seal it all up properly. I am looking forward to riding it

              • I had the same problem with my /93 750. I ran my bike into the Suzuki dealer and got my valves adjusted... problem solved!

                • Just got one off the break-in !!

                  A 1989 750k with 7810 on the clock when I bought
and began resurrecting it from severe hibernation sickness.
Runs and drives great after all new rubber pieces and a swim
or two in Berryman's n' Seafoam.

I like to ride fast-ish but don't beat up bikes so total miles
will be hopefully high as I do 3-6k miles per season and stay
in the bottom 2/3 of the tachometer. (This makes the "detuned"
Kat the perfect ride for me!) Lotsa good stuff going on from 5-9,000 rpms.

                  • 600 ended it's run at 130k when it was taken out by a car.

98 750 - bought a month ago with 20480 on it, up to 20800 with most major issues worked out. Should be getting 8k a year, shorter commute now.

                      • I only recorded a little over 5000 miles on the Katana during the 2018 season. Always dependable. My average per season is still over 6k but this year I've been had fewer long trips.
