    Here's a first look

OK more work to do, wet sand and 2nd clear coat, but here it is now.
PS: Those tape lines are sharp, they just don't look sharp online.

              Thanks a bunch everybody!
I'm using PPG automotive paint and clear, I'm just an experienced amateur.
Took hours Saturday to wet sand, tape and mask for the maroon, then when I was filling the air tank, it broke the fan belt at 100lb. Just enough air to spray the maroon Sunday.
Monday I taped the silver after buying some supplies.
The tank filled up to 125lb, but then the pressure switch refused to work again. So I only had enough air to spray most of the body parts.
I had bought a Preval kit to spray the silver, so I used that to spray a crude clear coat on the remaining panels.
After I get a new pressure switch, I'll have to wet sand and clear coat it all again.

                assembled

OK, I was able to finish the clear coat, and assembled the bike. I'll ride it for a couple weeks, then all the important panels will need to be wet sanded and buff polished.

Nice job bill.... FYI there is enough metal on the mirror mount to mill those for a better fit. I contoured them to fit the pocket.
