+1 Im excited to have it back to tip top. It's taken me 4 years to get here but honestly, there's not much left to do. I have an extra tank I plan to get sandblasted and coated professionally this year, then paint. Once it's painted, She will be tip top and good to go. other than regular maintenance, my project bike will have become my official motorcycle. It's an incredible feeling. I really want a super sport but if I go out and buy a fuel injected 750 gsxr like i want to, the one I buy will be good to go when i get it. That's probably going to be a while so I think I'm going to buy me a cruiser and dump my heart and soul into that next. My girlfriend and I took a 375+ mile one day trip this past summer and let me tell ya.... the last 20 miles home at 11:00 pm that night were at top speed. We rode fully opened up for at least 13 miles. When it was over, all either of us wanted to do was be at home in bed nursing our sore muscles. i will admit though, 10/15 miles at 120+ 2 up was quite an exhilarating end to a long GLORIOUS day on good ol' Black Betty!

What ever bike you get in the future will never equal the KAT, it's just a prefect all around bike once the weak points are addressed.

I agree. Nothing will ever equate to my KAT but i want more power.... AND I want a cruiser. I pretty much want everything but a Harley... lol

Sport bike = more power but, painful. Cruiser= good on the bones suck on power. KAT = nearly perfect balance.

Better get a big trailor for those road trips, you never know what your mood will be.

Put the neon on the trailor.

Sure you've seen it before, but the chart I've mocked up in my How-to for Shim-Over-Bucket Valve Adjustment should help you keep track of those clearances as you set them.

Kat's looking pretty good there mate.
Good reference for next time, too.

Thanks Purp, it's been a long road... I've seen your write up. Very well written. In all honesty, I will probably refer back to it once I confirm my valves are in fact out of spec.

Haha this is true. I like color pictures better. Honestly, the only thing I really will need to reference are the equations...
