i hate to do this, but since i am new to Kat riders i don't have enough posts to start a new thread in parts wanted.
i need forks that will fit a 2002 kat 600. specifically a left fork. i laid my bike down. ebay's got nothing... any help would be great. Also to the administrators, if i pay for a premium membership can i post in what i need?? i have no problem doing that.
sorry for the post in the wrong spot. i really wanna get back on my bike.

a lot of people do an enigne swap in their kats, because they lack ot power
but i think my kat engine is powerfull enough for me, but is its sh#ty handling and stability is what i don`t like
here in Bulgaria i ride on really twisty roads and good turning and stoping is what i need
yes, i could save my time and money and buy a gsxr, but
would i stop with this...riding a stock gsxr - No!
i would sitll going to mod it as i like
make it ligter, more stable and better stopper
so why sell my kat and buy a GSXR, while i had a good engine
with some good mods on it(barnet kevlar, advancer, and DJ kit)
and it is not easy to sell a kat that looks like mine
so i am building i bike to my taste(for the price i can afford of course)
      lighter frame
      lighter/stable rear swing
better suspension - the rear is better than a gsxr, and even the ZXR front is better than the Kats
the brakes will be upgraded as soon as i got money for them

and i do not put Prius in M3, because Kat's engine is not so differnt than the GSXR...it may be weaker at the top end but has better low and mid range whish is what i need...good throttle responce at all rpm

my goal is 160-170kg. dry weight
      good brakes
      good throttle responce

now still just ideas, but thinging of
plastic fuel tank with fiberglass cover
      1,2 Ah battery, no starter
      old school race replica bike

I'm with you on this one. I thought the same thing. His reply makes it a little better, being in Bulgaria and not having the money for a gsxr, but still doesn't make sense to me. It's definitly a Frankenstein bike.

You deal with the cards that are delt to you. People chop and modify things for no reason at all, all the time. I doubt he's expecting this thing to go out and compete in AMA races, he's building it because he wants to!

            Rock on Chemomche, Rock on.

yes i am in Bulgaria, but no, i do have money for a gsxr
may be if i hadn`t "wasted" them on the project
how i can buy a gsxr, got the money, but is it really worth it to buy a stock gsxr and leave it that way
if i buy a stock gixxer i have to spend another gixxer on upgrades
for the whole bike, not just related with HP
the bike must stop well, and to handle well, not just to have HP
these are more important than power(for me)
so i am building a bike that will handle and stop better than a gixxer and have similar power to a stock gixxer(well tuned kat engine can achieve than, and just a gixxer head will make it a gixxer)
I want a light-weight bike that handles well and have good power, and more important throttle respornse(i prefer the kats stron mid and low range than gixxers top end power)
may be the zxr250 front end was not a good thing for handling and stoping power, but due to money issues it was a good option...however the front breaks will be upgrated for sure, the forks....may be in some other stage of the project

Just ignore the negative comments chemomche, you are building the bike you want your way and I for one applaud your efforts and thing it is great. As others have said I look forward to your finished product and to see what it looks like. So just keep on building and updating us and forget what those others have to say.

                    well, your oprinion
i state that it doesn`t make sence to put b12 engine in Kat, but many people do it
like mustangs.....they put 600-1000hp in a car that cannot turn or stop....why you need that???(apart from drag race)

I have embarked on the road of modding. Even if you BOLT ON new parts to a bike, there will be someone somewhere that has the same combination. With the Kat, you have a unique platform. Sure, some parts might be from other bikes, but no one will have the same combination. It will be truly yours and unique.
