... but, that's the way it's gone.
So, for those of you not in 'the know', here's the skinny:
Back in october, someone/peeps started the attempt to steal my bike. After no doubtedly realizing that it was a Katana, they didn't take it. However, they destroyed my upper triple tree, detached my ignition switch, and knocked her over (leaving a split fairing and some nasty road rash).
So, I've been puttering around, doing all the work myself. Procrastination, crap weather (i've got no garage, so i have to do all the work out in my backyard), and all around fear of screwing it up completely, has made this a super long project.
I swapped out the upper triple, and reattached the ignition switch back in April/May. I fixed the split in the fairing and primed everything up a while ago too... so, it's (hopefully) down to just finishing the paint (although, i haven't tried to start her up in 10 months... sooo.... that could be a challenge tomorrow), and fixing the rear end up (did a shovel chop, now need to install the flush-mount rears, and tag-bracket).
Anyhoo, got a majority of the paint done today - i don't much care for decals, so i masked off and painted my graphics. I kinda liked how everything has turned out so far, so I thought I'd post it up =)
oh! and i know the shades of pink look different on all the pieces, but it's just the lighting my the different rooms in my house =) and also keep in mind, it's not done yet - still some clear coating and cut & polishing to go =)
