I usually run a tap threw the holes just be sure the threads are clean. If they are aluminum, send them back. You don't want to deal with them for long, easily stripped and they will loosen up over time.

Aftermarket fairing bolt kit
Got a bolt kit today but I'm clueless to where each go. I've already broken my windscreen trying to install it wrong. Can anyone help.
