Go to the below link and scroll to the bottom of the post. I posted some pictures of the choke for another member.
In the 1st pick you will see where the cable connects to the carbs. You need to remove your tank for access.

Can't get it to run right? Find a trick to add HP?

Hooking up the choke is easy-breezy: (put the bike up on the center stand as it makes it easier to work on and not worry about tipping over)

          1. Remove the tank. Two bolts under the seat hold it in place. Disconnect the fuel-petcock lines, and unhook the electrical sensor for the tank.

          2. Now you have some options....
          A. If the choke cable is disconnected completely and you are putting a new one in place, you can slide it down between the carbs and pop the bottom circle-end down in place and make sure the choke slide moves freely back and forth. Once the bottom portion of the cable is in place, just route the choke cable under the tank and up to the choke lever in the handlebar. (make sure it is not going to get caught or pinched on anything.)
          B. If you are replacing an old choke cable, it is easiest to just remove the carburator and airbox to get the old one off. Do this by first removing the bolts holding the airbox in place and then remove the clamps holding the boots to the carburator (there will be 4 of these clamps). once those are removed, unclip the little breather hose, and wiggle the carbs off of the motor. You don't have to pull them away from the bike as you only need to get them up high enough to remove the old choke cable, so removing the throttle cable is not needed. Get the old choke cable out of the way, and reconnect the new choke cable in reverse order of how you took the cable off and the carbs/airbox out.

          3. With the new cable inplace but not connected up to the handlebars yet, I find it a good to take this time to properly lube your choke cable if you have not done so already.

          4. With the cable lubed, proceed to open up your left handlebar box and slide the new choke cable up in place. Tighten the screws back down and test to make sure the cable moves back and forth freely and easily.

          5. If all is good, re-connect your fuel lines, and electrical and slide the tank back in place.

This whole job should only take you about 30min or so.

          Enjoy!

Definitely check out expvet's post in the thread I made. Very helpful. It's quite the easy task to replace a choke cable. You'll spend more time removing and replacing screws than anything else.
