Thats what I love about my bike. I can get the same distance on a tank of gas as I can in my car for 1/3 the price.

            worthless metric garbage...

all i know is i hit my trip meter after my last fillup (using 93 octane... DOH... wont do that again) and i'm almost to the bottom of the red on my gas gauge at 162 miles. I'll probably be switching over to RES when i ride home and back for lunch today.

i got a 99 600, and i ride it like i stole it... so i'm not trying to be efficient. how much gas does a 98+ hold again?

On my recent long distance riding (Belgium -> Åland and then back to southern Sweden, about 2000 miles), I've averaged 37 MPG. Most of it is highway cruising at 80-100 mph... On my way to Belgium I won't be as stressed so I'll ride it slower and smoother and see what it does to the mileage.

                  5.1 gallons 49-state model
                  4.7 gallons California model
and then there's an unexplained entry marked 4.9 gallons in the owner's manual as well...

                  Cheers
