  • K&N filters, are they really SO EXPENSIVE???

I went to check the K&N filters for the Katana, and found this part numbers:

    SU-7592
    RU-2922

Then I went to their always overpriced online store:

    SU-7592 = $79.75 - Individual filters, so I guess you need 4 of this.
RU-2922 = $89.42 - Each filter fits two carbs, you would need 2.

Then I went to Parts411 online store:

    SU-7592 = $67.07
    RU-2922 = $182.68

    Even buying them at the cheapest store, 4xSU-7592 = $268.28 or 2 x RU-2922 = $178.84

Are they really THAT expensive??? Maybe I'm confused and the SU-7592 includes the 4 filters and RU-2922 includes two???
I can't believe they can be that expensive!

OH!!! Now I understand!!! I was having a really hard time trying to figure out how those things would attach to each carb from inside the airbox! (I feel incredibly dumb!)

Heck, and I was even thinking that K&N had got the specs. for the flanges really messed up

Yeah, the pods (either 4 filters, or sometimes 2) need a jet kit to allow the bike to run properly. There is a website, i think it is Filters4you.com or something like that, that has real cheap prices on them.

Did some searching, but I found it!

Then just go to select year for vehicle, and go from there.

These are some of the cheaper prices I have seen.
