what are some good performance mods to begin with for my 06 kat 600

Ivans jet kit (Factory Pro jet kit if you also add an aftermarket full exhaust), Factory Pro ignition advancer, change the gearing for better acceleration, better than stock tires (Conti Road Attacks are popular), get ahold of Tmod on here about suspension upgrade ideas.

Welcome to Katriders csjcsj. I would, however, recommend doing a search as this subject has come up many times. Or you can peruse the Mods section to what other have done.

Exhaust (full system for the most performance), new tires, MEtzler z6's, ss brake lines, jet kit, ignition advancer, not much else you can do... suspension wise maybe an ohlins shock. even with all this money invested, your bike is not gonna be worth anything so before you go nuts, think about if you are gonna keep the bike down the road. my .02

Rider improvement training...
It's easier to make a bike faster by making the rider faster than visa-versa.

welcome to kr csjcsj. gear first is my suggestion. skin road markers dn't last long, but they sure do hurt.

Are you talking about the gears or changing out the sprockets and chain. If i did the sprockets what do you suggest.
