Chain/Sprocket

I'm looking at a chain/sprocket purchase in the near future.

96 Kat 750, 18k miles.

I believe I'm 15/46 right now. My understanding is that 15/45 is stock.

I wouldn't mind going up to 15/47. Probably not much more than that.

I've heard ideas about a few things but I'm trying to do this economically, as I am a college student paying my own way through life right now.

Any suggestions? All help is greatly appreciated!
