      Look right after the DOT numbers, and you should see a 4 digit number kind of branded into the tire like it was stamped using an oval number stamp after the tire was molded. ex 3005, 4203 etc/ the first 2 numbers would be the week of the year, last 2 numbers would be the year, so 30th week of 2005, or 2nd week of 2003. All the numbers on the 3 bikes I have outside right now are about 3/8"-1/2" tall, so not too hard to read. All the other numbers on my tires are raised letters and numbers that were molded into it, the date codes are the only ones on my tires that are resessed due to being stamped after molding.
