  • Traded the Kat last Friday ...

Was sad to see her go We had a lot of good times, but it was time to move on as I wanted more suspension for trackdays. I'll still stick around and help out with whatever limited knowledge I have. Without ya'll I'd have never dug into the carbs/brakes/valves ...

Got a good trade in price on her, and a good deal on a purty 2005 F4i with 5800 miles on the clock. It's Kat-like in lots of ways, easy to ride, similar seating position, an actual passenger seat ... but it's lighter and screams like an banshee from about 7-8k on! The difference in engine and braking power really surprised me.

    Here's a couple pics...

I've got some spare parts that I don't need now. Carbs, a 500 mile Hayabusa shock I never put on, a Dynojet jet kit, K&N, OEM oil filter and some other stuff. I'll take stock here in a few days and post em up.

BTW, I think they may have been correct. It does appear that BLACK is indeed the FASTEST color. R.O.R...R.I.P.M

They're frame sliders. I think there's a few folks that make them for Kats. Braunstein?

Thanks for all the replies guys! I'm really liking the bike thus far. Once I get some more miles on it I'll post up a comparison.
