    Hey Just joined.

    picked up a 2002 Katana 600 with 15000km on it.

    Is there any quick tips for maintance and such

    like changing oil and spark plugs without removing all the plastics

    Welcome to KR! Only way to the plugs is to loosen the fairings, and remove remove the gas tank. Do a search on this site for a service manual, and as long as you intend to tune her up, it would be better to check/adjust the valves as well, along with giving everything a once over to ensure uninterrupted riding fun.

              Dude welcome,

              You can find everything on the Kat here. The plugs are easy just take the tank off. But if it's running good and oil has less then 5000 km. Ride it for a while and then read the threads on maintenance. You can spend more time on the forum then you do riding.
