luggage racks

has anybody here got a luggage rack on there gsxf - im looking for one for my 91 600 but cant find anywhere that sell them - only ones i can find is for the modern gsxf not the old shape - anyone know where i might find one

anyone thats got them fitted have any photo's - and if not ones specifically for the gsxf - are there any universal ones out there?

If you mean a rack for hard luggage, considering the age of your vehicle, you'll probably have to go with soft luggage.

Twisted Throttle has no racks for your bike and neither does SW-Motech.

I just thought of something else, Givi does have universal top case rack that may work for you. It wont be designed to follow the contours of the Kat but it may work.

i know theres someone makes them ive seen them fitted - i just basically need a rack i can fix a top box to - i saw one i think was on bike pics - it bolted on via the grab handle bolts

check ebay UK or ebay germany, ive seen a couple OEM luggage racks for pre98 600's on there.

Ebay would definitely be the way to go.


Edit to add: It does look like Givi does have top case "monorack" arms to fit the Pre's.

Here's the picture of the M2 plate on Twisted Throttle. So get the Givi Monorack arms and the plate and your good to go.

Check that link I added to my post above. That person has a Pre 750 rack for sale. I see no reason it wouldn't fit the 600.

bigbiker, i saw them a couple weeks ago. they had 2 for sale and i was going to buy one but it ended up going for like $130 plus shipping. i was OEM and mounted by the grab bar bolts

No , sounds like it's the RACK he wants info on for starters , THEN the trunk . The trunk I got from E-bay for like $60 . Need a rack to mount it to naturally , as with all the trunks I've seen .

oh - sorry yes - i hevent been very clear have i - i can pick up a top box on ebay for pennies - but need a rack to mount it to - if i still had my welder i could knock one up out of some steel tube, but i havent lol

Well , seeing as how he has one listed for the "89-97Katana600" , I think it's a safe bet it'll work . Looks slightly different than the one for my 750 ....
