My GPS unit is my phone, blackberry 8310, and if I need to use the GPS while riding I put it in the map packet on my tank bag. But like someone else said too to look at it I do have to look down and take my eye off the road for a second or two. If I turned the volume up all the way I could still hear the GPS over the bike with the stock pipe. Haven't tried it yet with the new yoshi pipe yet.....doubt I will be able to hear it now.

I have the TechMount steering stem mount. This is the way to go. You can use the mount for a GPS, radar detector, etc.
