New saddle bags (What do I use to protect the paint)
New saddle bags (What do I use to protect the paint)
I went to a local stunt/bike/car show over the weekend and scored a set of joe rocket sport saddle bags for $50. They fit great, but I was wondering what most of you guys use to protect the bags from rubbing against the bike.
05 Kat 600
Yoshi RS3
Bar Risers
Road Attacks
Fumoto Valve
Corbin Seat w / backrest
Sportech black chrome windscreen
Custom garage door opener
If you check out Walmart in kitchen section they sell a rubber mesh that's suppose to be used to line kitchen drawers. Cut it to size and drap it over the tail under the saddle bags.
Jackal used it with his tailbag and it seemed to work.
If you are particularly worried about it, you should be able to pick up some of the 3M Clear Bra tape to put on. That should take the damage over the paint.

Just because they sound the same doesn't mean they are: there≠their≠they're; to≠too≠two; its≠it's; your≠you're; know≠no; brake≠break

I have used this trick for my tank bag for years and it works well. It also helps keep everything in place.
