ok well say im the third owner of my kat but idk for sure. The first owner was some kid that had the bike and he was haven problems with it so he traded it to my friend from school for a beat up old trans am. He then decided he wanted the bike back so he was coming to pick it up so my friend cut the starter wire and hoped he wouldn't take it cause it wouldnt start. So he didn't take it and my friend ended up with it. He couldnt get it to run good either, he took off the carbs cleaned them and some other crap. So he was kinda thinking of selling it and i really wanted it cause my boss is a has a motorcycle lift at work and i could work on it there, plus i really wanted a bike. I ended up getting it for like $700 and then tried to fix it.(its a 95 750 with 14K) Me and my boss took off the carbs and found jet just laying in the bottom of the bowl an #3. Convinced that this had solved the problem i started riding it and was still havin alot of problems like spitback, dying, ect. So i took it apart again and this time looked at the header with a temp gauge and found that only two cyliders were firing. messed with the spark plug wires and BAM!!! ALL 4 CYLINDERS!!! its a completely different bike! smooth no backfire doesnt die. It had been running on two cyliders before my friend even had it. some idiot mixed up the wires. So i think i got a good deal and i love my kat.
