  • Seat Mod anyone???

So what do you do when you weld the tail of a Hayabusa onto your Katana and now the seat doesn't fit quite right?? Well the Hayabusa seat is a bit small because of the indentation of the tank and the Katana Saddle it way too big...
Merge the two and plastic weld them together..Here is a link to the process we did on my Photobucket album:

By the way someone here stated that the post 98 gauge bezel would fit on a pre 98? I know I saw pictures of it just wanted to see them again because I tried and it didn't fit right..wanted to see how much you need to cut away for it to fit...

you have to check out http://katriders.com/vb/showthread.php?t=91192
        and http://katriders.com/vb/showthread.php?t=82769
it truely depends on how you do it. On KatBusa it was just the cluster and on the chrome project I used the post gauge plate and trimmed alot of it off. Cut a little fit, cut a little more, fit, cut more fit etc etc etc etc till it is where you want it and you like the fit.

1998 GSXR 750...had to have the stem removed and the Katana one pressed in place...then an insert made on the top triple to get the stem to fit correctly.

If anyone wants feel free to check out my entire albums at Photobucket. There are photos there on many of the steps we took to get this thing where it is today.
