  • just a thanks!

I don’t post much. But I’m on here all the time.
So after my valve adjustment and carb re-jetting and cleaning (over the last 2 weeks). I just wanted to say thanks!! to all here for the vast amount of information that's available. Thanks to you all I have done all this work on my own:
    changed my oil
    changed my plugs
    Repaired my plastics
    ground out my header welds
    installed an after market exhaust
    changed my fork oil
installed a 5 degree ignition advancer
installed a 14 tooth front sprocket
    Installed a speedo healer
    switched to Pirelli strada tires
    installed ss brake lines
    installed an ivan's jet kit
    adjusted the valves
    cleaned the carbs
    Synced my carbs
As I found all of the hands on help (not to mention pics) here I just wanted to say “THANKS“!
That’s without mentioning all the great advice for buying my leather jacket, pants, gloves, and helmets (newenough rules).
P.S. If you buy a used bike my advice is to check EVERTHING! There were so many simple service things that should have been done that weren’t….or that were done wrong.

Good job! It's always a great feeling to do the work yourself and keep the extra cash for goodies.

One thing I enjoy when I do it myself is the intimate knowledge of the mechanics of my bike, let alone the money savings.
