GPS

I did a search but came up with nothing. If i missed something please send me in the right direction.

Im wanting to attatch my garmin GPS to my 05 katana.
I have some ideas as to where and how to mount it but I was wondering if anyone has one on there bike or has any ideas on a sturdy, safe way to mount it?

It measures about 3 3/4inches in length
1/2 inch wide
2 3/4 high

Thats exactly the problem! It would be nice to know how to get home Just incase and I want it to go up to the cottage this year..

I have my garmin nuvi 350 mounted with a RAM mount. DO a search and it will get you the right mount to securely mount your unit to the bike. I then got a three outlet cigarette lighter and mounted it to the battery for the power. It works GREAT and I've been up to 100+ and no issues. Thinking about getting a seperate Nuvi now for my truck and just leave the one under my bike seat for the bike.

or you could be cheap like me and just zip tie the original bracket that came with the gps to an area you feel comfortable with. zip ties are cheap and can always be cut when you need to move the thing

Its spring all the birds are flying North so you shouldn't need a GPS this time of year!

Cool GPS and mount! I was looking at a GPS system a couple months back, but didn't want to pony up for one unless I could be sure it would stand up to riding conditions. Is yours strictly a "fair weather" GPS, or is it weather-proof? I googled it, but there's no information on that site about using it outdoors.

One I looked at (and still like) is spendier than I like, but is supposed to be designed for motorcycle conditions and is bundled with a blue-tooth headset so you can hear the directions as you're riding: http://www.tomtom.com/products/categ...D=1&Language=8

The Garmin Zumo comes with a RAM mount, which is what's on mine.
